My two favorite places in Costa Rica are Punta Islita and Drakes Bay south near Panama. Either of those places would be a great place for a retreat. Drakes Bay is nice because you can take a boat to a pristine rain forest and hike there.

Yoga, dance, snorkling, hiking even river rafting is possible in Costa Rica. I have been there twice and loved it. I biked all over the coffee area, went to the rain forest, rafted down the Reventazon river, hiked a bunch all over. I know the country well, so if you plan a trip contact me for the ins and outs.
